Talcott is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Senior Accountant. This role involves assisting with quarter-end and year-end financial close, supporting journal entries for reinsurance transactions, coordinating between departments, and preparing various management reports. The candidate will work on GAAP and Statutory bases and support internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Internationally recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., US CPA or equivalent)
- Minimum of 6 years professional accounting experience
- Knowledge and working experience with US GAAP for (re)insurance companies required
- Life and annuity (re)insurance accounting/audit experience required
- Experience with Bermuda Regulatory frameworks for (re)insurance companies
- Experience managing direct reports and providing coaching
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
