Dining Room Attendant

Under the supervision of the Food Services Supervisor, the Dining Room Attendant is responsible for the arranging service of food and also receiving the monies in a pleasant manner in the Cafeteria. Key responsibilities include preparing the MWI Cafeteria for internal and external clients, serving meals to clients and responding courteously and professionally to any requests, assisting clients in meal selection, performing cleaning duties within the MWI Cafeteria, maintaining cleanliness and order during meal services, disposing of waste appropriately, participating in department training, and adhering to policies and procedures with respect to the maintenance of safety and sanitation.

Requirements

Qualifications & Registration required: Culinary Arts Certificate from an approved Culinary Arts Institution, for example, the Bermuda College or equivalent experience. One year of customer service experience / facilitating dining room food service in an active cafeteria environment. Knowledge of the Bermuda Department of Health food safety and quality assurance regulations. Demonstrated high level of integrity and professionalism. Can communicate effectively with the food service personnel, supervisors, and customers. Keen attention to detail while being an effective listener with excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work analytically in a fast-paced Cafeteria setting.
