Soulfood Grill and Café is seeking a friendly Barista to join our team. In this position, you will prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages and food to patrons. Our baristas are enthusiastic about coffee and maintain a high standard of execution. You should always make the customer feel welcomed and important. Key Duties and Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service in a clean and welcoming environment, discussing the drink menu with customers, operating Café equipment, tracking inventory, and maintaining cleanliness.

Requirements

Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred. Must be able to operate a point of sale (POS) terminal. Ability to actively listen and verbally communicate with a wide range of people daily. Willingness to work a changing shift schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Aptitude for learning on-the-job in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience of at least two years in a similar stand-alone restaurant is required. Additional to all above qualifications, Barista Servers must have experience and basic knowledge on espresso machine operation, repairs, and maintenance, as well as broad knowledge of specialty coffee making.
