Kitchen Assistant

An integral part of the kitchen team - perform all washing and cleaning tasks plus some basic food preparation duties. Key Duties and Responsibilities include washing, storing and organizing dishes, utensils, service items, cutting boards, pots and pans; cleaning kitchen appliances; sweeping and mopping floors; cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces; removing garbage; cleaning front and back of house in the restaurant; assisting in restocking supplies; and assisting chefs with basic food prep. Must comply with food health and safety regulations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED. Previous experience would be an asset. Competencies required include good time management, organizational skills, ability to stand for extended periods, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, teamwork and effective communication skills. Must be dependable, punctual, trustworthy, honest, reliable, and maintain a neat appearance.
