The Swizzle Inn Pub and Restaurant require these positions: Sous Chef A minimum of 3 years' experience as a sous chef in a busy full-service restaurant. Must be capable of managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence. Duties include: assisting with ordering, inventory control, scheduling, menu planning and costing, quality control, as well as working the line. 2 Relevant employment references and relevant culinary certifications required. Chef de Parties Applicants must have minimum of 3 years' experience in a position of chef de partie or higher in a busy full-service restaurant. Applicants must have proof of culinary certification. Experience working in a high-volume restaurant and being able to manage well under pressure are essential. Relevant employment references required. Comis Chef- Must have 1 year experience as kitchen assistant with food preparation as the focus. Position is to assist senior chefs in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency in the kitchen. Assist in cooking and finishing dishes according to recipes and standards, and help with plating and presentation. Adhere to all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations. Clean equipment, surfaces, and utensils, and ensure the kitchen is clean and organized. Assistant Manager Minimum 3 years' management experience in similar type operation. Ability to effectively manage and motivate service team while ensuring all guest needs are met is essential. Strong organizational skills, POS admin abilities and experience in inventory control, scheduling of staff and organizing promotions is required. Excellent communication skills essential as well as being computer literate. Proven track record of reliability and honesty also required. Must be able to work unsupervised. Relevant employment references required. This is a key holder position so applicants must be able to provide a clean police record. Experienced Full and Part Time Servers This position requires an individual with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar, high- volume restaurant. Strong team player is essential, able to work well and maintain a professional attitude and remain courteous and polite under pressure. Also required are cash handling skills, POS experience, and relevant employment references. Kitchen Assistant Minimum of two years relevant experience required. Shifts include very early mornings and some late evenings. Responsibilities will include: food preparation, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, exhaust hoods and food service areas. Pot washing, floor cleaning. Garbage disposal and receiving and stocking orders. Due to the need to work with caustic chemicals, you must be able to read and decipher cleaning chemical labels. Experience in food preparation is necessary for helping the chefs during prep times and service rushes. Must be able to work unsupervised. Relevant employment references required. This is a key holder position so applicants must be able to provide a clean police record. Full-Time Kitchen Porter We require someone to work in our busy kitchen as dish and pot washer. This important position will include general cleaning of plates, wares, kitchen appliances, trash removal, receiving and packing away deliveries, degreasing floors and floor mats. This position is physically demanding that requires heavy lifting and the ability to handle high volumes of dishes and pots during peak hours. A proven track record of honesty, dependability and good personal hygiene is necessary.
