The successful candidate will assume clinical responsibility for the psychiatric care of clients in the respective Adult Psychiatric Clinical Programme (APCP). This will include diagnostic work ups, psychopharmacologic management, referral for psychotherapy and wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT) as needed, basic screening for medical co-morbidities and coordination of metabolic monitoring dependent upon treatment plans. Key responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient clinical assessments, formulation of treatment plans, medical leadership during ward rounds, program development, clinical audits, and on-call duties including liaison services to King Edward Memorial Hospital.
Requirements
Board certification or equivalent Specialist Certification in country of training. Requirement will be evaluated on its merits as part of the entire applications required for Bermuda Medical Council Registration. Must be eligible for specialist registration with the Bermuda Medical Council. Pre-employment substance abuse screening is mandatory.
