Business Intelligence Specialist

The Business Intelligence Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the implementation and ongoing management of a data analytics platform within our Hospital, built on a cloud-based data lake. This is a highly technical and strategic role, requiring a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to drive the successful adoption and utilisation of the data analytics platform. Key responsibilities include: Collaborate with Digital Health, data architects, and cloud engineers to support the design, implementation, and deployment of the data analytics platform on a cloud data lake Develop, maintain, and optimise data models, ensuring that they meet the requirements of clinical, operational, and financial analytics Establish and enforce data governance practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with healthcare regulations, including PIPA Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use the data analytics platform and interpret the data presented in reports and dashboards Communicate complex data findings and technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner Design and create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations that provide actionable insights to clinical and administrative stakeholders Ensure that all data analytics activities comply with relevant healthcare regulations and data security protocols Qualifications &/ Registration required: Bachelor's degree Information Technology, Analytics or Health Informatics or equivalent experience and education Business Intelligence or Analytics training or certification, preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role, preferably within the healthcare industry. Demonstrated experience working with healthcare data, such as electronic health records (EHR), patient management systems, and other clinical or operational data sources Proficiency in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data warehousing tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend) Experience with cloud-based data lake platforms like Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure Data Lake, Google Cloud Storage, or Snowflake
