Supervisor Of Haematology Unit

Key responsibilities include supervision of technical functions of Haematology Unit, responsible for quality assurance within Haematology Unit, assist with writing and maintenance of appropriate departmental policies and procedures, ensure continued compliance with Joint Commission International Accreditation and Canada Accreditation requirements, assist with quality improvement practices, monitor activities through regular audits, prepare general and statistical reports as required, liaise with the Chief of Pathology, utilize Quality Improvement data, attend assigned internal and external committees, and provide advice and assistance where needed.

Requirements

Minimum Education DM, FRC Path or equivalent Pathology and Hematologic Pathology. Must be eligible for registration with Bermuda Medical Council and eligible for hospital privileges. Minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience in Hematology & Blood Transfusion. Maintain Specialist qualification where qualified.
