Our Client BAC Universal Electric, is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems Technician to join our dynamic team. We specialize in electrical and communication systems, and our reputation for excellence is built on decades of service. If you are a motivated individual with a proven track record in fire alarm and suppression systems, we invite you to apply for this immediate opening.Duties & Responsibilities:Service, verify, inspect, and maintain fire alarm and suppression systemsInstall, program and commission both standalone and network fire alarm systemsPerform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various fire suppression equipment electrical components, solenoids, relays, modules, fire alarm control panels, and pump controllers for wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems, wet chemical systems and carbon dioxide systemsReview and interpret blueprints, specifications, system software programs, schematics, and manufacturers' standardsInspect and install equipment to meet all applicable NFPA codesEvaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing, as well as troubleshoot problemsProvide specific solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost-effective methods for upgrading or simply returning equipment to proper working order

Requirements

Minimum Qualification, Experience & Skills:Minimum of 10 years of experience as a senior technician within the industryExpertise in fire alarm network programming, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioningIndustry-recognized certification (e.g. NICET, CFAA, fire alarm and suppression equipment manufacturers)Prior experience with brands such as Notifier, Simplex, and FCI, along with manufacturer-specific certificationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in computer systems relevant to the role
