AXIS Capital is a global specialty insurance and reinsurance provider. AXIS' Bermuda based Group Reporting & Internal Controls team is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting to be a significant contributor to the Company's SEC reporting process. This role contributes directly to financial reporting quality, governance, risk management discipline, and stakeholder confidence. Duties include reviewing Forms 10-K and 10-Q, quarterly earnings, and press releases; managing reporting timelines; ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules; presenting to the Disclosure Committee and Audit Committee; and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.

Requirements

Internationally recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACA or equivalent). Minimum ten (10) years post qualification experience in the (re)insurance industry. In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Strong knowledge of the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to work extended hours during peak reporting cycles.
