Artex, Gallagher's wholly-owned subsidiary for alternative risk and capital, including fund administration, is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual for the position of Assistant Vice President (AVP), Fund Accounting in our Bermuda office. Reporting directly to the SVP, Head of Private Equity within Artex Capital Solutions ("ACS"), the successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of investment funds, delivery to clients, and managing and assisting members of the team. Key responsibilities include being the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing senior fund accountants' workload, vetting offering documents, overseeing fund launches, and calculating net asset values including complex performance fees.

Requirements

A University degree preferably majoring in accounting or another financials related discipline. Internationally recognized accounting designation (CPA, ACA, etc.) with at least 8 years post qualification experience working either in the hedge fund administration industry or as an audit senior or higher in audit practice. Strong understanding of investment accounting, hedge funds and private equity funds. In-depth knowledge of carried interest calculations and relevant US GAAP accounting standards. Willingness to work extended hours and public holidays, as required.
