Ascot Underwriting (Bermuda) Limited ("AUB" or "Ascot"), a subsidiary of Ascot Group Limited, a leading global specialty insurance and reinsurance group offering property and casualty to clients, is looking for a talented Investment Accountant to join their Group Finance team in Bermuda. Key duties include: monthly review and reconciliation of investment files; posting of investment journal entries; liaising with third party service providers; updating valuations; preparation of investment disclosures for U.S. GAAP financial statements; regulatory reporting (BMA filings); ensuring compliance; preparing quarterly accounting memos; supporting internal controls; and liaising with external auditors.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree and CA/CPA or equivalent designation is required. 3+ years of US GAAP investment accounting experience is required. Big 4 audit background is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to complete tasks within tight deadlines, with often minimal guidance. Effective problem-solver. Strong sense of urgency, ability to multitask, and highly detail oriented. Advanced Excel skills. Finance systems experience a plus (SUN/InforQ&A/Workiva/Power BI).
