AXIS Capital is a global specialty insurance and reinsurance provider. AXIS' Bermuda based Group Reporting & Internal Controls team is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to be a significant contributor to many aspects of the Company's SEC reporting process, with an emphasis on accounting, analysis and reporting for the Company's share-based compensation plan. This role contributes directly to AXIS Capital's financial reporting quality and governance. Duties include preparing monthly accounting, co-ordinating with Human Resources, assisting with U.S. GAAP research, completing Group's consolidation, and preparing Forms 10-K and 10-Q.

Requirements

Internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACA or equivalent). Minimum two (2) years post-qualification experience in (re)insurance. Experience in accounting and reporting for share-based compensation. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Strong knowledge of SOX requirements. Exposure to Wdesk, Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle general ledger systems is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Willingness to work extended hours during peak reporting cycles.
