MarketPlace Ltd is seeking a highly motivated leader to manage and oversee the grocery, dairy and frozen food departments for the group of stores. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Retail Operations, the Director of Grocery is responsible for implementing profitable programs and processes to optimize bottom line results. Duties include: managing P&L metrics, multi-retail unit responsibilities, reducing shrink, acting as primary contact for vendors, managing conflict and performance, and executing merchandising plans.

Requirements

Five years' experience in a similar role is required. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Strong computer skills and proficiency with computer software used in the food industry. - Demonstrate proficiency with Windows based computers and Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Competently operate handheld devices, retail registers, weight scales, printers, modems, and other equipment used in point of sale and accounting systems. - Must possess accounting and math skills necessary to supervise sales transactions and budgets. - Ability to bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds unassisted.
