Polaris Holding Company Ltd. (PHC), the parent company of Stevedoring Services Limited (SSL), Equipment Sales & Rental Limited, and Mill Reach Holding Limited, is seeking a full-time Assistant Financial Controller (AFC) to join our Finance team. This is a structured succession-planning opportunity: the successful candidate will work closely with the Comptroller for an initial transition period, anticipated to be approximately twelve (12) months, building a comprehensive understanding of the business and progressively assuming greater responsibility, with the intention of assuming the Comptroller role following a successful handover.

Requirements

Professional accounting designation required (CPA, ACA ACCA or equivalent); partially qualified or post-graduate candidates may be considered. Minimum five (5) years of progressive post-qualification experience, with two (2) years at a managerial level preferred. Advanced QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel skills are required, with a solid foundation in Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements and management accounts is essential. Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, external audit coordination, treasury management, and budgeting. A sound understanding of Bermuda's business environment, including payroll, benefits, and regulatory requirements, would be an asset.
