The Reinsurance Pricing Actuary will work within a newly created technical outwards reinsurance team and report to the Head of Ceded Re and support the Group Head of Portfolio Management. This role is responsible for ensuring the Group's outwards reinsurance is purchased efficiently, leveraging portfolio analysis and strategic insights.

Main Responsibilities:

• Outwards Case Pricing: case pricing across a wide range of lines of business, like property, specialty, and bespoke lines
• Leverage inwards pricing models to build consistent outwards pricing frameworks, ensuring alignment on metrics for pricing, capital impact, and profitability expectations.
• Automation and Process Improvement: Drive automation initiatives to streamline pricing and reporting processes, improving efficiency and accuracy across the team.
• Develop and refine tools for Underwriters to monitor their portfolios.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Claims and Risk Management teams to align reinsurance strategies with emerging loss trends and ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Regulatory and Compliance Support: Ensure outwards reinsurance programs comply with regulatory requirements and provide necessary data and analysis for audits or regulatory reviews.
• Benchmarking and Peer Analysis: Perform benchmarking studies against peer companies to evaluate the competitiveness of reinsurance pricing and terms.
• Catastrophe Model Integration: Collaborate with catastrophe modelling teams to incorporate model outputs into reinsurance pricing and portfolio optimization strategies.
• Reinsurance Program Design: Assist in designing innovative and bespoke reinsurance programs that align with the Group's strategic goals and risk appetite.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for stakeholders, including senior management, reinsurance partners, and investors.
• Collaborate with Underwriters and Planning Teams to combine inwards plans with optimized PML and capital deployment strategies
• Maintain and monitor the business plan, ensuring senior management and outwards partners are informed of any deviations.
