Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Investment Accountant in our Global Investment Accounting team, which is a centralized function responsible for investment accounting for the Company’s subsidiaries on a global basis. This is a dynamic role which provides an excellent opportunity to join a fast paced, team orientated environment with exposure to a variety of financial areas including investment accounting, derivatives, financial reporting, accounting research, and statutory reporting.

Requirements

An internationally recognized accounting qualification, together with a relevant university degree. Minimum of 4 years investment experience, including public accounting. Financial reporting and/or Insurance/Reinsurance related experience preferred. Working knowledge of investment accounting, including pricing, impairment and fair value classifications required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; advanced analytical spreadsheet skills required. Experience with Clearwater Analytics an advantage.
