The Director will be a member of the Finance team, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. In addition to leading the day-to-day operations, the Director will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and enforcing procedures and controls to ensure timely and accurate reporting for the Bermuda companies. Key responsibilities include preparation of US GAAP and Bermuda statutory financial statements, reinsurance and investment accounting, leading compliance with reinsurance treaty requirements, and establishing superior internal control policies.

Requirements

Internationally recognized accounting designation, e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA; A minimum 7 years of experience in an accounting or finance role; Life and annuity experience preferred; Strong leadership experience in a finance or accounting function; Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the accounting for life insurance and annuity products; Firm grasp of US GAAP, BMA rules and regulations, and Class E long term regulatory reporting including BSCR and FCR; Superior experience analyzing financial data and communicating to stakeholders; Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
