Roosevelt Road Re (RRRe) is a licensed Class 3B Bermuda domiciled reinsurer owned by TPM Management. With a primary focus on casualty lines of business, RRRe is a fast-growing company, with plans to underwrite a further diversified portfolio. Due to continued, profitable growth, the company is looking to recruit a Risk Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Core responsibilities in the role will include the following: • Ownership, preparation and delivery of risk reporting to RRRe's Committees and the Board, to inform decision-making processes. • Lead the end-to-end delivery & submission of annual BMA CISSA filings. • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of a robust architecture for measuring risk exposure and control effectiveness, including the creation of suitable risk and control metrics. Maintain & enhance the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) & Risk Management Framework (RMF) to meet BMA standards, covering risk appetite, controls & reporting. • Responsible for assisting in the coordination of the Quarterly Risk and Compliance Committee, meetings and packs. • Execute stress testing & scenario analysis across all applicable risks, to inform capital planning & support BMA submissions. • Lead & integrate Environment Social Governance (ESG) policies, procedures & initiatives & climate risk framework, including ESG reporting. • Contributing to the maintenance of effective governance and infrastructure for the reporting and management of risk incidents. • Undertaking special projects as assigned by management to support business decision-making. • Assist in communicating and/or providing training to management and staff on risk and compliance related matters. • Ongoing monitoring of the regulatory environment in which the company operates, assessing the impact of any changes and determining the appropriate response. Required skills and competencies: • A bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Accounting, Insurance, Law, or similar discipline. • Circa 3-5 years' experience working in a risk management capacity within the re/insurance sector. • Practical understanding and experience of insurance structures, governance framework and regulatory reporting, for Class 3b/4 entities. • Hands-on experience, with deep understanding of legislation applicable to the Bermuda Insurance regulatory regime, (including at minimum, BSCR, CISSA, Insurance Act 1978 & Insurance Code of Conduct). • Knowledge of information security risks. • Team player with good organization and planning ability. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, across the company.
