Our client, Equitable, helps their clients secure financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives - a mission they've honed since 1859. The Strategic Initiatives Consultant will be a key member of their newly formed Strategic Initiatives team. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence high-impact projects and drive innovation in reinsurance strategy. You will collaborate across actuarial, finance, and operational teams to deliver solutions that shape the future of their business. Responsibilities will include: • Coordinating cross-functional teams—including model development, finance, and legal-to successfully close reinsurance transactions. • Analyzing, pricing, and implementing new flow and reinsurance transactions in partnership with Stat/Bermuda Valuation and Finance teams. • Reviewing Bermuda EBS valuation and stress testing results for in-force variable annuity businesses. • Supporting assumption reviews, valuation methodology research (Stat/GAAP), and stress testing initiatives. • Providing guidance on methodology, governance, and modeling for transaction implementation. • Collaborating with teams on model development and assumption setting for new product development and reinsurance activities. Ideal Candidate Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Actuarial Science, along with an ASA or FSA designation. • Familiarity with reinsurance accounting or capital management. Knowledge of statistical and actuarial modeling tools and techniques; ability to apply modeling processes and techniques to facilitate risk management decisions. • Preferred: Knowledge of AXIS, Variable Annuities, and IFRS /US GAAP / US Stat / MCEV frameworks. • Accuracy, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Requirements
