The Bermuda Shipping & Maritime Authority (BSMA) operates a Category 1 International Shipping Registry and is a proud member of the Red Ensign Group of British Shipping Registries. BSMA's diverse and prestigious fleet includes large cruise ships, gas and oil tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, and large yachts. Headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, BSMA is responsible for the operation of the Bermuda Shipping Registry and the delivery of associated regulatory and statutory functions. As part of its continued growth, BSMA is seeking a highly qualified, experienced, and motivated professional to join the organization as Business Development and Strategy Specialist, working directly with the Chief Executive Officer. This is a contract post which shall not exceed six months. This short-term contract role will support the CEO and Business Development Team in developing and guiding strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening BSMA's position as a world-class shipping registry. The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing and redesigning business processes to ensure alignment with international legislation and codes, supporting business development and client relationship management activities, and enhancing operational systems to effectively manage a rapidly growing, high-quality registry. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement corporate and long-range strategies to support the continued growth of the Bermuda Shipping Registry Review, redesign, and optimize processes to ensure compliance with international maritime legislation, conventions, and quality standards Support business development initiatives and strengthen client relationship management Identify, evaluate, and implement platforms and software solutions to enhance operational efficiency and client experience Contribute to marketing strategy development and execution Improve internal systems and processes to enhance employee and client experience in a growing, high-performance organization Qualifications and Experience Minimum five (5) years' experience in the maritime industry Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of corporate strategy within an active maritime environment Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems Proven marketing and business development experience Ability to design and deliver long-range strategic solutions covering technology platforms, software sourcing, marketing, and client/employee engagement Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills➤ The "Apply Now" Button: If visible, this link redirects you to an external website (not BermudaJobFinder) which may require you to create an account.

Requirements
