Liberty Mutual Bermuda’s Financial Lines team is seeking an Associate Underwriter. The successful applicant will report to the Head of Financial Lines and will assist with all aspects of underwriting and servicing the portfolio of business. Key Responsibilities Manage inbound submissions and correspondence, maintain accurate records in systems and ensure timely progression of work. Review underwriting submission data, complete clearance and completeness checks and present complex information in a clear underwriting-ready format. Assist with initial pricing analysis, quoting templates, renewal comparison/rating sheets, and related underwriting support materials. Support day-to-day communication with internal and external stakeholders. Review and maintain underwriting files to audit standards. Ensure documentation reflects agreed terms and is finalised within required timelines. Produce ad hoc underwriting reports and other tasks as required. Review and respond to Finance queries in a timely manner. Assist with special projects and provide cover for colleagues when required. Support risk management activities and audit processes/reviews as required.

Requirements

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience Degree or equivalent professional qualification; internationally recognized underwriting designation preferred. 3+ years of insurance industry experience; Financial Lines experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, numeracy and data accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization and prioritization skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products. Interest in developing knowledge and skillset to support the business.
