Chubb Bermuda Insurance Ltd. invites applications for the position of Financial Lines Claim Handler.With operations in 54 countries, Chubb is one of the world's largest multi-line property and casualty insurers.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Managing a portfolio of complex directors & officers, employment practices liability, and cyber claims.Interfacing with and overseeing operational team for support as needed.Performing detailed, substantive, ongoing analysis of significant, novel, and/or challenging claims.Working closely with outside and in-house counsel and other tower participants to protect Chubb's contractual rights under its policies.Performing analysis in respect of underlying exposures and coverage under a variety of financial lines policy forms.Communicating with underwriters regarding claim developments.Preparing timely and informative management reports.Noticing and reporting to reinsurers.

Requirements

The successful applicant must possess:A four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.An understanding of the U.S. tort system and insurance-coverage principles.Law degree, or at least five years insurance-industry experience analysing, managing, negotiating, and resolving complex claims.Strong oral and written communication skills.Effective negotiation skills.
