Report to Cafeteria Manager/Child Nutrition Supervisor. Keep information confidential concerning school business. Act in a professional manner at all times. Assist in preparation of menu items and prepare cafeteria service area. Serve students and staff from the cafeteria service area. Clean work tables, walls, floors, refrigerators, counters, and equipment (according to established procedures). Responsible for knowing and following the safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job as provided by the Cafeteria Manager. Follow proper personal hygiene procedures that are necessary for the safe and sanitary handling of food. Perform other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.

Requirements

18 years of age. Ability to read, write and communicate in English to understand directions and communicate with students and staff. Ability to physically move about the cafeteria and kitchen. Food service experience. Assist in the supervision of students. Maintain orderliness, cleanliness and safety of cafeteria. High school diploma (or GED) Ability to understand and carry out basic kitchen instructions.
