Convex is an international specialty insurer and reinsurer with offices in London, Bermuda, US, Luxembourg and Guernsey. We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven professional to lead and grow a specialty offering within our Bermuda platform. This role will be instrumental in shaping strategy, building out a high-performing team, and establishing a strong market presence across key geographies. Working closely with London and Bermuda based teams, the successful candidate will drive portfolio performance, cultivate and maintain senior broker relationships across major global markets, and lead business development efforts with a particular focus on the US client base. The position requires a technically strong leader with proven underwriting and reinsurance expertise, capable of navigating complex placements, aligning outward reinsurance strategies, and delivering best-in-class service and solutions to clients and partners.
Requirements
A solid track record and profile in lines of business including Marine, Energy, Terror, Composite, Whole Account and Cyber business, good knowledge of Agro, Political Risk and Credit, A&H and Retro. Strong interpersonal, communication and training skills. Excellent leadership and team development skills. Degree level and a Masters, Postgraduate and or MBA equivalent required. ACII or CPCU designation desired. Advanced proficiency and knowledge of Excel, Databases, Cat Models.
