
Ocorian Services (Bermuda) Limited is seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join a dynamic team engaged in providing a range of corporate administration, accounting, management, and advisory services to a growing Bermuda clientele that includes trusts, captives and other structures. This role will oversee the team that consistently delivers quality, timely and efficient corporate administration and related services to local and international companies in the Bermuda insurance and capital markets sectors. Duties:<br>Managing a team of corporate administrators carrying out the duties of Company Secretary in accordance with the Companies Act 1981 primarily for entities licensed under the Insurance Act 1978. Client relationship management for a portfolio of insurance and non-insurance clients. Assisting in compliance monitoring of clients. Assisting in growing the client base and onboarding new clients. Participating in executive management meetings and implementing strategic initiatives. Mentoring Trainee and Junior Corporate Administrators. Ensuring team members are assigned balanced portfolios, and receive required training, adequate technical support, and supervision. Setting annual goals and objectives for each team member and monitoring progress, as part of the overall performance appraisal process. Identifying and recommending seminars, workshops, lunch and learn sessions, and work-related courses in support of continued professional development. Identifying and implementing team building initiatives. Supervising economic substance filings, annual return filings and the maintenance of beneficial ownership registers. Knowledge, skills and experience: A university degree in a relevant discipline together with at least 10 years’ high-level corporate administration experience. Completion of Corporate Secretarial Practice 1 and 2 an asset. A commanding knowledge of the Companies Act, 1981 and statutory regulations relating to the administration of companies in Bermuda including the Insurance Act 1978 and related regulations, the Economic Substances Act 2018 and related regulations, the Bermuda Corporate Service Provider Act, Bermuda AML/ATF Legislation. Proven problem-solving abilities in the administration of insurance and non-insurance companies in Bermuda. Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically MS Word. Proficiency in NAVONE and Viewpoint will be an asset. Working knowledge of Integra and other relevant regulatory filing systems in Bermuda. Proven leadership and coaching skills, written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, client relationship, organizational and time management skills. Ability to read, analyze and understand financial statements, contracts, and other legal documents.
