Additional Main Duties: Working closely with the Managing Director to create and analyze financial reports, process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices and tax payments, prepare Government filings and special reports for various local and international registration processes. Managing payroll including preparing annual employee statements, generating and posting payroll payments and reporting as needed. Bank, investment and fund reconciliations and interfund transactions. Running and creating reports from the financial management system to assist the Managing Director and Board in making budgetary decisions. Additional Tech and Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, in accounting, finance or business is required. An internationally recognised professional accounting designation, a CA, CPA, CFA, ACA, ACCA. 3 to 5 years experience as an Accountant. Prior experience within a Not for Profit environment preferred. Familiarity with the Canadian GAAP for Not for Profit Organizations a plus. Proficiency with an accounting software tool and Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of data management and financial data analysis.

The Bermuda Foundation, formerly Bermuda Community Foundation, is a grantmaking organisation made up of charitable funds that have been established by individuals, families and businesses. The Foundation requires a part time Accountant. This is a permanent part time position, which will be required approximately 20 hours per week starting June 1st, 2026. A flexible schedule can be discussed. The Accountant will maintain complete sets of financial records, keep track of accounts, verify the accuracy of procedures used for recording financial transactions and systematically manage the day to day transactions of the Foundation, its component funds and affiliate entities.
