The incumbent leads culinary staff, assists with menu development and recipe costing, manages food inventories to control costs, enforces health and safety standards, schedules labor, and oversees quality control from preparation to presentation. Responsibilities include offering professional guest service, motivating team members, ordering food, maintaining quality control, and ensuring compliance with health guidelines.

Requirements

Documented culinary training and certification (Red Seal certificate or equivalent); 3 to 5 years of banqueting chef experience in luxury hotel or high-quality restaurant environments; at least 2 years international experience preferred; ability to maintain high standards of food presentation and quality; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
