Ettrick Animal Hospital requires a full-time Front Desk Receptionist to join our friendly, supportive practice. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely values kindness, compassion, and teamwork. The successful applicant will be a reliable team player with a positive, can-do attitude and a warm, professional approach to both clients and colleagues. You will be the first point of contact for our clients, so a calm, friendly manner and excellent communication skills are essential. The role is fast-paced and varied, requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence using computer systems. You should be comfortable juggling multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of customer care and following up on requests accurately. A genuine love of animals is essential. The applicant must be comfortable handling animals and able to lift at least 40 lbs when required. Compassion, patience, and empathy are key working values within our team. This is a 40-hour per week position, which will include Saturdays.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills; strong organisational skills; attention to detail; confidence using computer systems; comfortable handling animals; able to lift at least 40 lbs; available to work Saturdays. Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role would be an advantage.
