The Policy & Governance Manager reports to the Director of Legal and Policy and is responsible for the policy drafting and management, applicable corporate governance, and vendor management. Responsibilities include drafting policies and templates, drafting and managing Board and committee records, vendor management and managing administrative functions within the legal department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Take minutes at committee and Board meetings. Draft minutes and resolutions and preparing committee and Board packs. Managing corporate records. Draft policies, briefs, discussion papers, and recommendations for senior leadership and the Board. Ensure all policies align, manage policy amendments and version control. Maintain policy register and review dates. Maintain vendor management files. Carry out initial review of vendor contracts. Manage vendor management registers, Provide administrative support for the legal department. Draft reports, policy documents, and briefing notes for senior leadership. Communicate policy changes and implications effectively to both internal teams and external partners. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience University degree or equivalent experience in corporate secretarial, policy or vendor management. Professional ICSA/Chartered Secretary certification would be an advantage. Strong understanding of accepted corporate secretarial procedures. and processes. Knowledge of regulatory standards. Knowledge of good governance standards and risk management policies. Awareness of stakeholder engagement processes and public authority governance. Knowledge of record management systems. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Minimum 4 years of experience maintaining corporate records. Experience acting as a corporate secretary and working with a board of directors is essential. Experience in drafting policies and policy management or vendor management.
