Works under the direction of the Assistant Accountant General. The Senior Management Accountant manages the financial reporting and accounting functions of the Accountant General's Department in accordance with the established policies and procedures and the relevant legislation, to properly record and report on the results of the financial operations of Government departments. The Senior Management Accountant also supervises the work of the accountants, coordinates the training program for the Trainee Management Accountants, and manages the operational, financial and human resources functions of the Financial Reporting Section.

Requirements

Minimum of four to six years of relevant post qualification experience in all aspects of accounting and public authority. Experience must include one to two years of supervisory experience and accounting at the senior level. The post holder must be professionally qualified in accounting and be a full member of an internationally recognized accounting body and eligible for membership in Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Bermuda.
