Lancashire Insurance Company Limited, a member of the Lancashire Insurance Group, is seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Bermuda. This role will play a key part in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and supporting our dynamic insurance operations. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare all non-technical aspects of the monthly and quarterly financial close Assist with technical insurance posting and reconciliations Conduct variance analysis and explain key drivers of performance to senior management Assist in the preparation of IFRS financial statements, board papers and management accounts Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports (BSCR, Statutory Financial, NAIC) Assist in the preparation of accounting memos in accordance with IFRS Support internal and external audit processes, including documentation, reconciliations, and control assessments Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial systems, reporting processes and data quality Support senior management with ad hoc projects as needed REQUIREMENTS A professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, or ACCA) is essential. At least 3 years' post-qualification experience gained in the (re) insurance or financial service industries is required. Experience within P&C re(insurance) is preferred. IFRS experience is preferred. Strong understanding of (re)insurance principles and (re)insurance financial metrics. Current knowledge of finance systems is required. Experience with Great Plains, Wdesk, and Microsoft Office systems is a distinct advantage. Familiarity with emerging Bermuda CIT and Substance- Based Tax Credits legislation will be beneficial. Detailed-oriented, organised and able to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines. Strong work ethic and the ability to work extended hours including weekends during busy periods is required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments. Proactive, adaptable, and driven to improve processes and reporting quality.
