The Handyperson performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings of King Edward Memorial Hospital to ensure that equipment and the building are kept in a good state of repair. Key responsibilities include replacing light fixtures, maintaining stoves and air conditioning units, repairing plumbing, and performing rough carpentry work. The role involves assisting tradesmen like masons, painters, and electricians.

Requirements

Trade or vocational school diploma/certificate; Four (4) year apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training; Demonstrated verbal communication to supervisor, staff, contractors, and others. Pre-employment substance abuse screening is mandatory.
