Our client, Prismic Life Reinsurance Ltd., is hiring an actuary to join the fast-growing Bermuda operation. Prismic is a global reinsurance platform, established in September 2023. Our company's expertise and operational scalability allow us to provide risk and balance sheet management solutions to clients while offering investors the opportunity to participate in reinsurance as an investment. Prismic is building a core leadership group of seasoned experts with a track record of success and an ownership mindset to deliver on shared ambitions. Our team of professionals brings commercial depth and technical expertise across various fields, including Reinsurance, Investments, Finance, Asset-Liability Management, Actuarial, Transactions, Law, Controllership, Operations, and Risk. Selected individual will be responsible for supporting Prismic's growth by supporting areas such as actuarial modeling, projection, and valuation. Key Responsibilities: • Perform actuarial modeling, projection, and valuation under multiple bases, including EBS, US GAAP, Embedded Value, and US Tax. • Perform experience review, monitoring, and assumption update. • Partner with Investment team and asset management team on strategic asset allocation and ALM to maintain a stable balance sheet with strong capital position. • Partner with Finance team on financial reporting, results analysis, deal profit measurement and forecasting, as well as investor reporting. • Produce risk measurement report and analytics for regulatory filing and internal management risk monitoring. • Support the company's engagement with regulatory bodies, including SBA application, asset and derivatives approval, and prudential review. The engagement could expand to the jurisdictions as needed. • Collaborate with Pricing/Deal team on new business onboarding and fund raising in support of top-line growth. • Participate in operating model transformation to build a more streamlined, better controlled, and more efficient end-to-end financial operating process including data, modeling, valuation, financial reporting, and analysis. • Collaborate with external business partners and vendors to deliver high quality results in a timely fashion, while building institutional knowledge. • Support business and commercial undertaking, such as rating agency engagement, capital call and distribution. Required, Skills & Qualifications: • Fellow or near Fellow of the SOA, IFOA, FCIA, with 5+ years of actuarial professional experience. • Working knowledge and experience with actuarial modeling software, such as pALM, MG ALFA, and Axis highly desirable. • Working experience with Python, Power BI, and MS office is a plus. • Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple work efforts simultaneously. • Aspired to thrive in a fast pace and dynamic professional environment, with project management and relationship management skills. • Strong verbal & written communication skills, particularly in explaining technical challenges & writing documentation. • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, data science or a related field.
