BELCO is seeking a Specialist Electrical Fitter to join our Bulk Generation team. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, testing, repairs and commissioning of Power Generation's electrical equipment. Key Responsibilities include: maintaining diesel engine and gas turbine systems; performing LV switchgear testing, cable installation and LV termination; maintaining accurate equipment test and safety records; providing guidance and on-the-job training while being able to work under minimal supervision.

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years post apprenticeship experience in installation and maintenance of electrical machinery and control systems, preferably in an electrical utility. Technical qualification such as BTEC, NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds, ONC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline. Knowledge of standard electrical practices (NEC and NFPA 70E). Excellent physical condition with the ability to climb and work in confined spaces. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
