On behalf of our client, SparYard Marine Solutions, we invite suitable candidates to apply for the position of: Skilled Marine & Equipment Mechanic. Responsibilities include: Prepare and implement maintenance plan for fleet of vehicles including forklifts, travel lift, vans, trucks and tractors. Carry out regular program of maintenance for all vehicles and equipment including weekly checks. Carry out all major maintenance and repairs on an as needed basis for all vehicles and equipment. Performing marine mechanic tasks such as, but not limited to; R&R of Props, Cutlass bearings, Struts, Rudders, Thru hulls & Sea Cocks, and performing Engine Services. Other such tasks as required to contribute to the day-to-day operations of Spar Yard.

Requirements

A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role within the marine industry and demonstrated positive outcomes across all aspects of the role. Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects while working within a budget. Knowledge of boat handling and experience operating heavy machinery is an asset. Previous supervisory experience will be required. Heavy truck license, or ability and willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment. Competence in Microsoft Office suite. Clean criminal background and excellent employment references required.
