We are seeking a passionate, commercially driven General Manager to lead and motivate a high-performing store team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance, maximising profitability, and achieving sustainable growth while fostering accountability and exceptional customer service. The General Manager will oversee store performance and KPIs, manage communication with the Marks & Spencer International team, and provide strategic guidance to Buyers and Department Leads. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong commercial awareness and analytical skills to identify opportunities for improvement, with a focus on merchandise buying, inventory management, and team development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field. At least five years' senior retail management experience managing multiple departments. Proven experience leading large teams to achieve business objectives in a fast-paced environment. Experience in buying, including within the food sector, with a strong understanding of pricing strategies, margin management, and inventory control. Experience in the recruitment and training of store employees. Excellent numerical and financial management abilities. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in retail systems, business applications, and report analysis. Proactive problem-solving, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
