Reporting to the VP Bermuda Controller, this position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Bermuda Statutory Close process and associated team members. Athene is a leading financial services company that issues, reinsures and acquires retirement savings products designed to help people retire better.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with a recognized accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, etc.); 7+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years of recent life and annuity insurance and reinsurance accounting experience; Experience with US GAAP and Bermuda regulatory reporting; Experience managing team members; Strong controls background including Sarbanes Oxley; Willingness to work overtime when required.
