Aspida Re seeks a highly-skilled and experienced professional to lead our internal audit function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the internal audit process and ensuring that our internal controls are effective, efficient, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Head of Internal Audit will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Aspida Re and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and will work closely with senior management to identify and mitigate risks across the organization. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a risk-based audit plan, conducting audits, managing the internal audit function, and presenting reports to the Board.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) required. At least 10 years of relevant experience in auditing/Internal Audit is required. Strong understanding of risk management and internal control frameworks. Knowledge of Bermuda regulatory environment requirements or equivalent jurisdiction. Must have knowledge of US GAAP and US Statutory Accounting Guidelines. Previous experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act reporting requirements is required.
