The Reinsurance Accountant will assume responsibility for all aspects of accounting for assigned reinsurance contracts and will report into the AVP, Reinsurance Operations. Duties include verifying underwriting data, maintaining premium information, bordereau reporting, monitoring accounts receivables, and liaising with brokers and internal departments. The role also involves completing monthly closes, investigating movements for senior management calls, and participating in systems enhancements.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a reinsurance company; Strong experience reading and interpreting reinsurance contracts; Understanding of accounting for quota share and excess of loss contracts; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI is advantageous.
