The Bermuda Foundation (formerly Bermuda Community Foundation) is a grant-making organisation made up of charitable funds. The Foundation requires a part-time Accountant to maintain complete sets of financial records, keep track of accounts, verify the accuracy of procedures used for recording financial transactions and systematically manage the day-to-day transactions of the Foundation, its component funds and affiliate entities. Primary responsibilities include creating and analyzing financial reports, processing accounts payable/receivable, managing invoices/tax payments, preparing Government filings, managing payroll, and performing reconciliations.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in accounting, finance or business is required. An internationally recognised professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, CFA, ACA, ACCA). 3-5 years experience as an Accountant. Prior experience within a Not-for-Profit environment preferred. Familiarity with the Canadian GAAP for Not-for-Profit Organizations a plus. Proficiency with an accounting software tool and Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of data management and financial data analysis.
