Our client, SFG Bermuda Ltd., is seeking an AVP & Actuary, Head of Bermuda Enterprise Risk Management. The successful individual will serve as a strategic leader for SFG B's Bermuda risk management program, overseeing CISSA preparation, stress testing, risk reporting, and Bermuda-specific risk metrics. Lead operational and model risk management activities, provide independent challenge of EBS and regulatory reporting outputs, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate across functions to support effective risk oversight. Build strong relationships with industry peers and the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) to maintain alignment with evolving regulatory and governance requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Business or Actuarial Science required. Qualified Actuary (e.g., FSA, FIA, FCIA). MAAA may be required for specific roles. Minimum 10 years’ experience in the insurance and annuity industry required. Minimum 5 years’ management experience with proven ability to develop talent including managers preferred. Prior experience in Bermuda and familiarity with Bermuda BSCR and Economic Balance Sheet as it applies to life insurance operations is strongly preferred. Strong actuarial experience (pricing, valuation, financial reporting, financial modeling, ALM, risk management, etc.). Ability to travel to/from US office locations for business meetings.
