We are seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our team as an integral part of the day-to-day operations of the Club. The successful applicant will need to be able to plan and prioritize their own workload and be able to communicate with members and colleagues in a professional manner. Responsibilities and Duties Include, but are not limited to: Processing accounts receivable and payable Issuing member statements and remittances Reconciling payments against customer and supplier accounts Investigating and resolving invoice queries promptly and professionally General accounts-related tasks, including but not limited to - bank reconciliations, bank deposits, daily cash receipts recording, assist with the annual audit Providing administrative and clerical support to our team as needed Ordering of supplies and stationery Assisting with guest check in and check out and the selling of merchandise Assisting with reservations, both via phone and email Other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or Controller Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: A minimum of a Bookkeeping qualification with at least 5 years experience in a similar role High Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Outlook/Word) Prior work with a POS system would be an asset Excellent verbal communication skills, both oral and written High levels of efficiency and accuracy with attention to detail Excellent time management skills with the ability to work weekends and holidays, when required Enthusiastic and friendly attitude with the ability to handle confidential information with integrity Value a team working environment as well as being able to work independently with limited guidance
