Reporting to Assistant Vice President, Consumer Credit, this role is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of loans and mortgage clients and for meeting or exceeding sales targets. Your responsibilities will include: Interviewing clients for personal loans and mortgages. • Approving credit applications within assigned limits. Completing and submitting applications for approval to the VP and/or AVP, Consumer Credit, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate. Managing customer loan portfolios to include mortgages/trust, credit cards and overdraft facilities. Resolving customer queries. Reviewing and reporting on any outstanding securities in portfolios. Cross-selling other Bank products and services and making referrals to other departments within the Bank. Maintaining thorough knowledge and understanding of Bank policies and procedures, ensuring compliance at all times. Providing dedicated quality service to customers and co-workers. Providing guidance to other team members. Identifying new and existing client needs and making appropriate recommendations. Your qualifications and skills include: Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related discipline with at least five years of related experience. Experience with various software programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Filemaker Pro. Highly effective interviewing skills and techniques with proven ability to build and secure client relationships and new business. Strong oral and written communication with interpersonal skills. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess customer needs and use sound judgement. Experience in working comfortably within a team environment that may be subject to time constraints. • Familiarity with a wide range of banking products.
