The Corporate Actuarial team of Pacific Life Holdings Bermuda is responsible for ensuring that the future liabilities and capital of PL Re are appropriately determined and assessed. This in conjunction with designing and implementing capital management solutions. This role will involve working with PL Re colleagues in Business Units across the world as well as regular interactions with the Risk and Financial Planning and Analysis teams. Duties include working with multiple stakeholders from offices in Bermuda, London, Toronto, Singapore and Sydney; reviewing and challenging Business Plan outputs; overseeing Actuarial input to ORSA; and providing regulatory or economic capital insight.
Requirements
Qualified Actuary with 10+ years actuarial and industry experience. Proven understanding of actuarial principles and processes; knowledge of life insurance risk and market landscape. Knowledge of risk-based capital frameworks (e.g. BMA/Solvency II or similar Economic framework, IFRS (desirable) and US GAAP (desirable). A track record of leading a team, including a desire to coach and develop. Strong management and leadership skills. Excellent technical and analytical skills, combined with sound actuarial judgement and commercial awareness. Ability to communicate with individuals of all levels.
