An opportunity exists for a Senior Accountant to join Novartis Investment Ltd. in their Bermuda office. Reporting to the Head of Novartis Bermuda, the successful candidate will work very closely with other team members and be responsible for assisting with all accounting functions and financial reporting for the Group. Key responsibilities include preparing/reviewing monthly accounting in a SOX-compliant environment, analyzing financial reports, preparing budgets and forecasts for captives, preparing annual financial statements (IFRS/statutory), and overseeing external audit processes.
Requirements
Internally recognized accounting qualification (CPA, ACA or equivalent); Minimum of 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience within the (re)insurance industry and/or reinsurance audit; 2 years' recent captive exposure; In-depth knowledge of Bermuda regulatory environment including BMA statutory reporting; Experience in financial reporting under U.S. GAAP, IFRS and SOX controls; Advanced MS Office skills; Experience with S4Hana considered an asset.
