Prismic Life, a Bermuda-incorporated life and annuity reinsurer, is seeking a VP, Transaction Pricing to architect their next phase of expansion. Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Strategy, the VP will lead actuarial pricing and analytical execution of reinsurance and strategic transactions, including block reinsurance and other structured life reinsurance solutions. The role involves evaluating insurance liabilities, developing pricing models, assessing risk-return tradeoffs, and supporting negotiations through data-driven insights. Key responsibilities include deal pricing and execution, actuarial and financial integration, capital and strategic decision support, and governance and infrastructure.
Requirements
Qualified or near-qualified actuary (e.g., FSA/ASA or equivalent). 10+ years of actuarial experience in life reinsurance, insurance, or related financial services, with a strong focus on pricing. Direct experience with pricing reinsurance or block transactions involving life insurance liabilities is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of Bermuda regulatory and capital frameworks (i.e. EBS, BSCR). Proven technical expertise in actuarial modeling, experience analysis, and assumption setting. Solid understanding of reinsurance structures, insurance liabilities, and capital considerations. Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly to non-actuarial stakeholders. Proficiency with actuarial and analytical tools. Willingness and ability to obtain any required licenses or professional certifications in Bermuda.
