MJM Limited is a Bermuda based law firm with an international outlook, delivering integrated, commercially focused advice. Our core areas of expertise are Dispute Resolution, Corporate and Finance, and Private Client. We invite applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Litigation Counsel to work both independently and directly with and provide a supporting role to the Head of the Dispute Resolution team. This position requires a seasoned commercial litigator with significant insolvency experience and strong court advocacy skills. The successful candidate will have effective commercial awareness together with proven business development and client rapport building skills and will also have a willingness to mentor, supervise and delegate work to junior members of the Dispute Resolution department.
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years' relevant post qualification experience working in private practice; A recognized Commonwealth designation; Advocacy skills and proven experience in conducting litigation to a high standard at various levels of court; Experience in commercial matters preferably, and in particular significant insolvency experience; Excellent drafting, legal research and legal opinion writing; Excellent interpersonal skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Excellent organizational and time management skills; Experience with business development activities. The applicant must have a desire for eventual partnership.
