MEF Ltd. requires an experienced Executive Chef for our innovative and exciting restaurants and lounges. Key responsibilities include purchasing the best products at the best price, menu development, maintaining food and labour costs, budgeting and all aspects of running a busy kitchen operation. Ensuring quality food preparation and presentation. Coordinating, organizing and supervising multiple restaurant and lounge outlets. Must be up to date with current culinary trends and innovations, training and current health regulations.

Requirements

Minimum of five years proven experience. Responsible for employing, directing and training culinary staff. Must demonstrate creativity, maintain highest standards, and be willing to take a hands-on approach. Extensive culinary background managing back-of-house in multiple restaurants; ability to interact with multicultural staff; proven track record in food and labour cost controls and the ability to maintain departmental budgets. Expertise in specific cuisines is required (e.g. Italian, Asian including sushi). Willing and able to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends and public holidays. Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
