The Head of Mortgage and Credit Reinsurance is responsible for supporting the Bermuda Office to manage, develop and write a Mortgage, Credit and Casualty Reinsurance book of business. Responsibilities include building a diverse book of business, sourcing opportunities through broker networks, assessing viability of underwriting opportunities, setting underwriting appetite, leading analysis, and managing team members.

Requirements

Relevant reinsurance underwriting experience in Bermuda and the international insurance market; 10 years or more of experience underwriting in the Reinsurance market is required, with at least 5 years of Mortgage and or Credit Reinsurance underwriting experience; Proven track record underwriting Mortgage, Credit and Casualty lines; Strong relationships with US, London Market and Bermuda brokers and clients; Experience in managing direct reports; Willingness and ability to work beyond normal office hours and weekend/public holidays to meet tight deadlines.
